The Kenya Promise

Protecting children.
Restoring young people.
Strengthening families.

Faithful Touch Foundation walks alongside children, youth, and families across Kenya — restoring dignity in the everyday places where hope is rebuilt.

Our Mission

We made a promise to Kenya — and to every child who calls it home.

The Kenya Promise is simple: no child should grow up hungry, unprotected, or unseen. No young person should waste their becoming. No family should walk through hardship alone.

Faithful Touch Foundation is a community-led effort to protect children, restore young people, and strengthen the families that hold Kenya together. We work where the need is closest — schools, churches, clinics, neighborhoods — alongside the people who already know their community best.

  • Dignity first. Every program treats children and families as whole people, not statistics.
  • Local hands. Kenyan leaders, teachers, and elders lead the work on the ground.
  • Quiet, faithful presence. We show up consistently, not occasionally.

Our Story

From Kenya, for the families and communities that raised us.

Faithful Touch Foundation was born out of a simple frustration: too many children in Kenya are growing up hungry, unprotected, or unseen — and too many young men are losing their lives quietly, without anyone walking beside them.

Daniel Mwangi is from Kenya. He has seen, up close, what it costs a community when a child misses school because there's no food at home — and what it costs when a young person slips into alcohol, drugs, or hopelessness and no one notices for years.

The Foundation exists to do something about it. Not from a distance — from inside the communities that raised us. With Kenyan teachers, pastors, mentors, mothers, and elders leading the work, and with friends and partners around the world standing behind them.

“This is the work of restoring dignity, one child, one young man, one family at a time.”
— Daniel Mwangi

Why this work matters

The need is real — and targeted partners can help close the gap.

Government and large organizations are doing important work, but children and families still fall through the cracks — especially in remote communities, children’s homes, street situations, and homes where basic support is inconsistent.

Young men in conversation with trained mentors in a quiet community room

The Becoming Initiative

For the young men no one is looking for.

Across Kenya, too many young men feel unseen. They drift toward changaa, alcohol, and substances — not because they don't want more, but because no one ever showed them what more looks like.

Becoming is a slow, quiet, deliberate space. A circle of trained mentors, professional therapists, counselors, and vetted community leaders who show up. Honest conversations about identity, responsibility, fatherhood, faith, and the future. Pathways to rehabilitation and recovery for those who want them. Dignity, discipline, and purpose — not as a slogan, but as a daily practice.

“Every young man is becoming someone. The question is whether anyone is walking beside him while it happens.”
Mentorship. Trained mentors, counselors, therapists, and vetted men and women walking with youth consistently.
Recovery. Safe referrals, follow-up.
Purpose. Work, skills, responsibility.
Dignity. Conversations that respect the man he is becoming.
